Inner Garden
MA FINAL PROJECT BY YELENA OVERCHENKO
The most excellent and important adventure of our lives is discovering who we are. The conflict between the inner "I" and the outer "I" is the most common problem in the modern world. Our life consists of continuously pursuing goals and desires that do not belong to us. Sometimes we don't even hear ourselves; we don't understand who we are and what we want to get from life. There is a mismatch between our inner desires and external actions. Fears and negative thoughts contribute to a person going far away from his desires. You are what you think. James Allen wrote: "As a man thinks, so he is; as he continues to believe, so he remains. It all starts with your thoughts - our life experience comes from the thoughts we actively engage in: you are what you think.
The Inner Garden project is a visual interpretation of a person's inner state, fears, emotions and feelings.
In his photos, the author tried to depict another world, the inner world, sensations, the depths of human consciousness, thoughts, moods, feelings and self-consciousness. Five negative emotions were associated with human fears that prevent them from living a whole life. The author tried to portray these feelings through the prism of his aesthetic view, creating a series of photographs.

Such actions lead to a hopeless state when you don’t know where and why you are going.
drowning
Drowning is a feeling in the soul of a shapeless image of suffocating darkness, impotence and a sucking depth drawing in itself.
thoughts
It all starts with your thoughts - our life experience comes from the thoughts we actively engage in: you are what you think. The more we develop negative thoughts and think over the details and solutions, the only increase their significance and weight. We begin to wind ourselves up unconsciously and follow this thought.

The longing and loneliness are powerful feelings that sit inside and deprive some joy
